So much for a restful sleep LOL.

Ah dear. I've been listening to long recordings of things like crackling camp-fires and rain drumming on the roof, waves crashing to shore etc to sleep at night and, i have to say, i am sleeping very deeply and awake feeling almost cleansed, it's interesting how deep an effect it has on my sleep and state of mind.

But last night I put on this recording and I turned it up quite loud and minimised the screen so my laptop would give off no light and just play the noise...

So at about 3am A is shaking me awake yelling frantically because he can't understand what is going on, "LISTEN TO IT, IT'S LIKE A DELUGE. BUT WHEN YOU GO OUTSIDE......(pause for dramatic effect), "THERE"S NO RAIN!!!! IT"S A CLEAR NIGHT!!!". He's hunting around my room moving things around my desk, climbing up to the desk to put his head against the wall thinking maybe a pipe has burst or something. OMG he was in SUCH a panic. At the time I was half asleep and really cross but now, after enjoying the second half of my deep sleep I have woken refreshed and can't stop giggling about it.

Lol, Kenny if I ever do go completely mad and start living in my imagination, I hope I imagine it better than being shaken awake over simulated rain in the middle of the night, LOL.

what a riot Melly, I imagine him bumping into Kenny's doggie with the lampshade on her head (like a dog umbrella) looking up so sweetly at him, completely protected from the rainstorm... in the house...

Well, he hasn't been drinking for about a month and actually seems very clear-headed and sensible just lately so this was just a funny incident that could have happened to anyone, I don't feel bad about laughing and I bet he thinks it's funny too after a good night's sleep. It wasn't related to drinking or addiction or anything, I just thought it was so funny that I wanted to share it.

The funniest part to me is the "indoor rainstorm" and the "new floor lamp." LOL! I can really, really see you doing stand up comedy.  The way you put words together is exactly the way really good comediennes get famous.  There is no anticipating what they're going to say.  I love it!

lol, I'd love to write comedy in some capacity but deliver it? Ha, i'm a stammery, finger-nail inspecting um-sayer in person.
I always wanted my own humorous newspaper column, that sounds like a good job to me.
Maybe one day
A just emerged from his room, he thought the whole thing was as funny as I did. I warned him that tonight I will be listening to crackling camp-fire sounds so, don't come rushing in with the hose....
