Yep, welcome to Arizona! We got over 3 inches last night and I was digging a drainage ditch this AM next to my house trying to direct the water away from the foundation. Then, I had to backwash the pool because the water had risen above the tile line and was out of control rising! I couldn't get down 67th Ave, Cathy, because it was flooded at Jomax and a car was stranded. My husband has to drive to the airport in 2 hours and we just heard that there was a mudslide on the 51 and that I-17 is still backed up and closed at certain places!! CRAZY here!

At least it's drying out now, but they say we still have a chance for more rain later and possibly tomorrow. Hopefully this was the worst of it. Our neighbor's tree fell across our driveway last night so we weren't going anywhere anyway. We helped them saw it down and pull the branches out of the way, etc. We all were so upset by this tree falling, though, because it gave both our houses shade (gorgeous mesquite tree). But, we were all thankful that the tree fell away from the homes and went into the driveway, LOL! I knew I heard something around 4:30 AM but I couldn't figure out what the noise was....now I know!
