weird memory

My dear neighbor texted me today if I had seen her 15 year old dog Ginger. Gin has been coming to my place for 14  years, a yellow lab. We share her. (c: They gave up paying someone to watch their house and her as she would just come to me.

One night late I get the is Ginger there call. We were out with flashlights upset, worried. She calls and tells me um Ginger was asleep in my closet by my bed! lol

Anyway I tossed off my no one better see me cloths into something sorta normal. Got my Basset Tavish and our ginger cat Lovey who follows me and headed out to look all over our acreages. My older couple neighbor was out they started looking too after i stopped there.

When I was at her house finally with Basset and cat in tow...she came out and we talked. Ginger is a stick, waves around but sweet and healthy as an old dog can be, I asked about her behavior. I must add my dear neighbor just had a second surgery for cancer. a very sweet little thing, angel face. Husband is a doc and interesting bug. He caught me walking estersue my pet farm pig home when she left to go walk about and eat acorns...in my nightgown...

Anyway I got a feeling, walked up  about thirty feet and looked in the brush. I saw her, thought she was passed on. she lifted her head! I then yelled I GOT HER!! she had fallen to her side and could not get up. so I picked her up and brought her back Thanked HP so very much for using  me to  get her back home.

I feel so humbled.

Anyway my life is like this. Once I gave these three guys five bucks cuz they just had put 97 cents of gas in their car.lol

I got home and told A this. He says we can barely make it and you give money away?? Typical A brain Number one we were doing fine on money, more than fine, I made more than him, and he worked too. We wanted/needed for nothing  and had a thriving animal sanctuary! Plus I did the accounting and paid bill sooo he had NO idea where we were!

I had to about strangle him to stop if I saw an animal or person suffering. This was when I had no idea he was using again after surgery.

Anyway it was the start of him not loving me for who I am. For me that is a must or bye.

anyway the things that come into my mind. Now I get to just feel good for helping my dear friend/neighbor and our dog Ginger.

Oh, I'm so glad Ginger could be found by family and taken home. I never realized how pets are no longer pets after awhile but very important members of creation's family. I think it is sad when we cannot see living creatures as living creatures who feel pain, fear, love or care for other living creatures. I am glad there are some of us who recognize the need of animals to be treated with care and teachers of ours, too. You are a good one, DL, for recognizing animals as living creatures who need air, water, food, affection, understanding, support and care - just like us.
