Lol, so, my daughter is "Art Captain" at her school. She's quite a talented little drawer and painter like her father (I can string words together but my visual art is abysmal, even my stick-figures suck).
So last night she mentions to me, "mum, I have completed all of the "art tasks" for the year and I have also finished the projects our art-teacher made up for kids to do if they finish the other stuff...and we are only half way through the year..."
I say "hey, you know I haven't seen any of your artwork for months, what's going on?" and she says "no, it's all on display for the school art-show next month, they won't let me bring it home". I say, that sucks daughter, I miss seeing your artwork. See if you can bring me home something, OK?
So today, she brings me home something and shows it to me, "here you go mum, I had a few minutes spare today so I made you this, since you wanted some art..." and I have to admit, I was in a rush to go and look at a house with her and then we had a full evening...so I never looked at what she had handed me. I just looked it then...and saw what she had made me...

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see? (Lewis Caroll)
Reminds me of a song: "Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly...birds fly over the rainbow, why then, oh why, can't I?" The bluebird - symbol of happiness - also comes to my mind. There will be rainbows. There will be treasures. There will be happiness for you both in your new home and in your new life.
I was wondering yesterday if daughter's father would have any ideas--like upping the child support until you can get on your feet? Lending you money you could pay back 2 or 3 years from now?
You'll know if speaking with him is advisable or not--wouldn't want hin to think he could just take daughter for a year or two.
Hugs,
