On our Meeting/Chat Room Info board we are discussing the issue of registering MIP's Al-Anon portion of  this site with AFG World Service Center.  A group member, Tigger was nominated and elected to act as the liaison between us and World Service Center to gather adequate information, so we are able to make an informed decision as this vote comes to the table in our next business meeting.  Your vote counts, and yes should it be voted in favor of, it will affect this message board as well as our online meetings in several serious ways.

This has been an ongoing issue for several years now with a wide variety of reasons both pro and con, as to should we be registered with WSC or not.  

 I would strongly suggest you take the time to do the reading on the Meeting/Chat Room Info board related to this issue so you are able to truly make a fully informed decision for yourself and have your vote heard at our next business meeting which is held bi-monthly on the 1st Sunday every other month, immediately after the scheduled 7 PM meeting.  Just to read all the available information that has been provided thus far, including Tiggers findings, my commentaries related to our previous experiences with WSC and other members shares/comments could take a good bit of your time. But please take the time as this is how we make informed decisions, and not just shoot from the hip with a vote because something sounds like a good or bad idea without factual information to base our votes on.

We will be bringing this to group vote at our next business meeting on Sunday, August 3rd immediately following our 7pm meeting.  The Business Meeting will start at approximately 8:15 PM eastern time.

Since we are wide spread all over the world, in different time zone's it may not be possible for some to show up for the meeting but want their vote to be heard.  Therefore I have set up a  temporary email acct just for this purpose.  You can send an email with the following short statement copied and pasted into your emails body that states;

"I, a member of Miracles In Progress Al-Anon Family Group, have read the thread on the Meeting/Chat Room Info Board titled "WSO registration procedure - Group Liaison's findings" and therefore believe I am making an informed decision as I vote __________________ (in favor of/opposed to) the motion to have our group pursue registration with Al-Anon Family Groups World Service Center.  I hereby submit my vote to be counted at the Group Business Meeting on August 3rd, 2014.
