Gaby you deserve some peace in knowing where he is! No it is not the best, but it is up to him to make it as good as he can. Maybe he will get some clarity.If you want you may want to send him literature or books to read. Maybe there is AA in this institution.

I had an elder who was going to go see my husband when he was in prison. SAdly he died before he got there. Loved that Elder...

It will be OK Gaby. It gives him the chance to sit still and think about his life. He will have structure he's has to abide by. I know the feelings you are having but it will pass with time and prayer. It has for me. I think my son in prison is going to be his best hope on getting well and going into recovery and this just might be what you son needs too.
