Small Victories - But No Meeting

New recovering husband and also dealing with infidelity discovered over the weekend. I know that God is in control, but this is all so new that when I woke up this morning and knew it would be a hard day. I read the "Just for Today" card and started my day with "having a program." #1 on the list - get through work. I did... wanted to scratch out my eyeballs... but did it. #2 on the list - get my daughter's bday gift shipped to her. Done. #3. Call my college friend with AH. Haven't talked to her in years and felt such peace after. #4. Take 30 minutes for myself: Actually took one hour sitting at a park. Peace. #5. Finish caulking the roof. Done. #6. Go to the 6:30 meeting -- never been there and no one there so I guess it doesn't meeting anymore, but I went. Felt so much better, but now feeling bile in my throat and elephant on my chest. Now I will the "Prayer for Today." Just had to tell someone. Thanks for reading.

There is a 9 p.m. online meeting that you might want to attend here? I don't know your time zone, but it is 8:35 p.m. where I live in the US and only 25 minutes until the meeting starts.

kebwcb Good work I love that little Bookmark It saved my sanity and life more days then I can count. No meetings so you came here and shared ---that is powerful recovery.
In the future when you feel that pain in your head or chest, I found repeating the serenity prayer over and over helped restore me to serenity and gave me wisdom and courage.
You are on your way.
