So I went roller skating with my kids at the park, which isn't that abnormal, we usually bike ride there. We play Frisbee golf there and go to the beach, but yesterday I fell roller skating and broke my right arm at the elbow, trying to catch myself. Of course it's my primary arm and I have to figure out how to do things differently. My arm is wrapped and in a sling, they may put on a hard cast on Friday. It is pretty painful, but I am taking ibuprofen and icing. I suppose this will help me to focus on self care and to slow down, which I don't do well. I have been so active, healthy busy working out lately. This will be quite the adjustment, I need help getting dressed even, lol. This is going to cut my work hours, but with that I know I will be okay, just another challenge on my journey to navigate. Thank God my 16 year old and almost 6 year old are helpful. Sending you all love and support!

Ouch, and you still think to send US love and support?
You're such a treasure. Praying that you heal quickly!

Oh, so that's how you did it? UGH! I'm so sorry, broken bones stink. I've been in physical therapy for a tendon issue for 5 weeks now and it still hurts to undo my bra or lift the laundry detergent so I'm learning how to use my non-dominant arm to do those things. Man, it's such an adjustment, LOL! Glad your kids are helpful! I'm sure this will be just another fun story to talk about in the future when you tell grandkids, "You would have loved to see your mom helping me when I broke my arm years ago, she was awesome!"
Hugs and hope the healing goes quickly!

Oh breakingfree, I broke my right arm in the same place last year. I know what you are going though and it stinks. The good news that after a lot of painful physical therapy I can bend my arm again. Good luck and be kind to yourself!
Grounded for a bit, BF, and it is my hope you will be soaring again soon! Many prayers for quick healing and a return to normal activities for you soon, too. (((BF - just the shoulder on your left))).
I am so sorry BF I broke my shoulder a few years back and I know how difficult and painful it can be to be incapacitated like this . I know you will adjust and find a away to work through with courage, serenity and much wisdom Prayers for your speedy recovery .
Just a thought ,I have a "talk type" program which is very helpful in typing long memos as all I need to do is talk into a mic. and the computer types the words. It is called the" Dragon Program " and costs about $50.00. If that would help in anyway I suggest you investigate it.
I'm so sorry....OUCH! Hopefully you will be back in shape in no time. I remember when I broke my leg falling off a dirt bike. Was hard getting around for a while but didn't last that long.
Take care....... (((( hugs ))))
