The Avatar

I've been asked about my avatar which I posted as a humble reminder of who the real artist and creator is.  The is the back view of a Peacock.  The symmetrical beauty of this animal is awe inspiring to me.   I've seen them strut and fan their tails and rarely have seen tis view of one like this.  I have a penchant for birds of all kinds and like to think at times that they are HP's best reminders to me that my flash isn't so inspiring.  HP's the artist.   ((((hugs)))) smile

Pretty. I couldn't figure out what it was. I wondered if it was a beautiful mask or something. Now I know its a peacock. Thank you, Jerry.

PP I believe the same and culturally am with in it.  One of the body form (kinolau) for (Akua) God, Higher Power as I understand is the Hawaiian Hawk and it participates in the belief we have.  Spiritually insightful you are.   (((hugs))) smile

The Hawaiian culture sounds lovely.  When I see hawks around me I know God is saying "yes".

I also love birds,

There is a beautiful bird that I've never seen before since I moved out of L.A., its a good size and its yellow and black, I'm trying to get a photo
of it, no luck so far.

I remember a time when I was living in the Hills with nature a time ago and I looked out my window and there was this beautiful Peacock in my backyard.

I lived on an acre and there were lots of beautiful birds, I use to throw birdseed out there and would get a beautiful collection of birds. Well, I was so proud
of myself that I had attracted a Peacock.

Well a few days went by and he was still in my yard strutting his beautiful feathers, there was a knock on my door and it was two men from
the local zoo, evidently the Peacock had escaped, so much for my powers, I missed seeing him in my yard when they took him away, but
it was a great encounter while it lasted.

That picture of the peacock Jerry is amazing. I love Birds, and I always enjoy the birds in Hawaii, I usually stay at the New Otani and leave the slider open
I was able to attract a few birds and lots of pigeons in the room in the morning...lol....

Also I use to love the Mina birds before , but they don't import them anymore.,
I'm determined to get a photo of that yellow and black bird.

Thank you for your share
Hugs, Bettina

I actually thought it was a kite!  I've never seen a peacock in flight.  What an awesome bird. Thank you for sharing it with us.   TT

It's in flight????!!!!!!!! I missed that! Thank you, TT. I couldn't understand why it looked the way it did. Thank you for solving the mystery for me. That entire photo is magical/mystical to me - especially knowing now that that is a peacock in flight. I didn't even know they flew.

That is also a great picture Cathy...yellow headed Orioles.  They can come and visit anytime...We have bird feeders in the front of our yard and bird seed in 25 pound sacks is often on the shopping list.  The birds range from the smallest of finches to Indian ring necked doves.   Mynas are a standard.  Love birds also.  smile
