time for some heavy sponsor work w/my workbook

I just got a new workbook in the mail  "a workbook for healing adult children of alcoholics"  by Patty McConnell

I think in view of recent events, I need to take a step back...reflect...work this book...sponsor is healed enough from her shingles to work w/me on it....I want to take a big look at me  positive and negative....

this book, just glancing at it has a huge inventory thingy on "people" and how do i relate with them, etc....just glancing at this book i see stuff i want to work w/my good sponsor

I can get 'carried away" at times, i admit...I still have to work on my triggers...perhaps the rest of my life.....sponsor and i think I need to take a step back....work my workbook together and make decisions from there.....like i need to reboot and start over....

see ya all in a while....I gotta do something about me and how i feel...what is best for me.....

I apologize for any drama on my part...I really meant no harm...I was just responding...over do??? yea, i believe that part was correct....I own it...i accept it...and i make amends to the board

Love ya all

We all need a reboot at times. I just want to thank you for sharing your story. It was the story that shook me to reality so just remember you were apart of my HP's plan. Big (((((Hug)))) Nemesha.

I appreciate you.  It takes much courage to publicly own what is yours and offer the apology you believe is necessary to balance the scales.  I have always respected you for your total commitment to your recovery.  Blessings, N.

I will be working on "my" triggers as well. I apologize if I offended anybody as well. I feel safe here and that is a huge step for me.

Neshema, I love how you bounce back and look for the growth. I, too, reacted to this whole situation and not as well as I could have. I dont handle conflict well, I get defensive and then over react. Im sorry to, for my part. Oh well, we can forgive ourselves, its progress not perfection. Maybe we will do better next time.x

Neshema, Working a Step 10, as you have just done is a powerful recovery tool that helps to clear up the baggage from yesterday, so we can start the next day with a clean slate. Having the awareness of what transpired, seeing our responses and our motives and then learning the lesson from the experience is how we grow in wisdom and that is all that is necessary.

When the common welfare and unity of the group is threatened, it is very human to "to go into protect and fight mode". Alanon does not expect use to loose our humanity and become Divine Beings --- that is why Step 10 exists
Please reconsider your decision
