Slight change in message board format... Please read.

Hi everyone,

Previously the post at the top of the board would be based on the date it was started.  Now, I have changed it so that when a post is replied to, it is moved to the top of the board, so the reply doesn't get lost at the bottom of the board and can be seen and replied to by both the original poster, as well as all other group members that want to contribute their experience, strength and hope on the subject.  

I believe this will help us generate more replies to post, as it will generate more views, and no one's post or replies slip through the cracks on the board, when new post are started.

I hope you will be patient and let us test drive this for a while before deciding whether it was a good idea.  I believe it is.

I think that works well john. The mobile app does this in recent posts, regardless of dates, as if you didnt know that.lol

works for me, my other board, a coda site, does this and its great....i  log on and i know what the "latest" activity is re: maybe an old post gets esh'd and we don't miss it.........

 MIP has a mobile app?? its own???  you got the name of it??? i just get on google and tap into my history for this site.....

So if a post from a week ago is replied to it goes to the top?

I am confused of course.

I do my best to reply to everyone every day. how will one be able to keep track who they have replied to? And I see one post at the top is 4 days old, has 16 replies, yet a new persons first time post is way below that?

ugh. I am always willing to give things a try. I just like things how they were. Like when a grocery store changes where a certain thing is, I hate it.

So how will we see first where a newbie comes in? I like to welcome them asap.

will someone help me understand please? I need them in order....simple mind, intelligent but like things in order...

In case we want to find something in order of when it was started (the previous sort), there is a SORT drop-down box at the bottom of the screen.

The options are
- Last Modified
- Start Date
- Replies
- Views

I use these.

How is this different though? The board has always done this for me. I'm confused. If I'm signed in, and someone has replied to a post, the heading is bolded and it's at the top of the page. It has always been that way for me.

Or is there something new? I don't see anything different.
