Censoring vs. following mip rules

In our "Frequently Asked Questions," It gives us the guideline for mip.

One is we follow copyright laws.

This is not censorship.

As mods we follow the rules, traditions etc. It's not personal. We have had ones come on only to rile things up, sell things, gossip, use horrible profanity, these things will be moderated.

It's important when we get a new person in who may be in great pain, or even our most seasoned members to feel our site is more a family site, where not everything goes.

I hope this helps clear things up.

Dear Deb Thank you for your clarity and wisdom. It is important to respect each other and the guidelines that make this Board and family so very special . I believe that we all use our alanon tools to respond to posting and treat each other with courtesy and respect.

Disagreeing with someone or their point of view is not disrespectful unless we do so in a rude and destructive manner. If that happens I would urge each member to place principles above personalities (including there own) and practice courtesy. (another word for love)
