Step seven tells us to humbly ask him to remove our shortcomings. I know I cant expect miracles or shortcuts, I need to do the work. Thats where jerry comes in, I hope you dont mind me mentioning you. Jerry talks about opposites a lot and my plan is to work out what the opposites are and then focus on one for a while, asking every day and keeping it in the forefront of my mind. Im going to use the blueprint for progress for this. There are attitudes on it that I need to look up but I think I have a bit of a plan now.
I read in the hope for today page 170 that my higher power is more in charge of the whats and whens of removing my shortcomings but it said, this makes me cry, that I should ask for whatever shortcoming was preventing me from being gods channel for this day. Is it just me or is that beautiful? This so takes the pressure off me, all I have to do is show willing and ask and its just for this one day, I have been looking at this all wrong, the mountain has just been reduced to a bump in the road. Gods channel is all the good stuff, its that prayer about opposites really, the one where we seek to understand than be understood. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.x

LC Powerful share, and I agree a beautiful thought I know that HP is my director and is willing to relieve me of my shortcomings when I am ready to have them removed. I have experienced this to be very true.
I found that walking the walk really was simpler than I thought. Just showing up with an open mind, reading my daily readers, praying, attending meetings and slowly imperfectly working the steps with a sponsor. Reviewing the slogans and each morning saying the 3rd Step prayer , was my assurance that I was not just talking the talk. Good topic

Thank you for your feedback everyone. I had a good day with that reading in my mind, sometimes they are just so powerful and can hit you right between the eyes. I did take a bit of time reading the steps, connecting with my hp, listening to that quiet voice within, so I think I opened my mind enough to let my program in. I dont do it enough these days. Clear the fog, you probably know this but just in case you sont, you can click on jerrys name and then members posts and it shows you his posts, well I think it works this way.x
