to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
To all the Al-Anon and MIP women in my life who have re-parented me and taught me to get in touch with my "female side" LOL... Imagine how I handled that one at the first suggestion. "Should I get my shots before doing that and exactly what step does that come under". LOL and then...my HP had that on HP's "to do list" also and so did my alcoholism counselor at the VA. You all taught and teach me about coming from the heart rather than my head which already at that time was in major strike. It didn't work and maybe never worked except to help me pick up the phone and call the Al-Anon hotline that day I needed to do nothing but. When I got into Al-Anon I was surrounded by crazy women...lots of them...scary women who somehow and often saw the picture much better than I ever could and when I agreed to be teachable I was led back to a life I wouldn't surrender for anything today. From the deepest part of my heart (you all know where that is and at times I still have to guess) I am grateful beyond any other thing I can feel (an inside reaction to an outside event...soooo that's what it is) and grateful is still an awesome fresh feeling. Thank you God for the women, dressed as angels you installed within my life. I promise to behave and find a way to give back even a little. (((((hugs)))))
Just a note if my own mother were still alive she would also thank you all for giving her the son she always wanted. really

You were one of the first that reached out to me here when I was a newbie and scared, not knowing where to turn or how to ask for help....I am so thankful to your mother for bringing you into this world:) and to all of the MIP mothers for our little family here:) A big round of hugs to you all!
Thank you, Jerry! Perhaps your Mom knew the man you would become and let go to let the other women step up to the plate to do what she couldn't do? As Hillary Clinton says: "It takes a village..." And you had to be willing! It's been a partnership all the way, brother! Glad you're at the board, too.
Beautiful Jerry, I have been Mothered by so many wonderful people in my life, especially my sponsor, but so many others. I have never believed you had to give birth to be a parent or Mother or Father to a child or lost soul. I love this post. Sending you much love and support!
