So I had a brief discussion with the ex-a about what we will discuss in the mediation session. My main concern is having my son exposed to people who are displaying high risk behavior. He tried all the usual manipulations, denial, minimizing, making himself a victim, exposing my mistakes, phoning to control the conversation. The great part about it. I had zero emotional reaction to any of it. I just simply asked for what I wanted. I did not answer the phone call. Normally, if I answer he would scream until he could scare me into silence. I just continued the conversation through email. It was empowering. The reason for the discussion was that he had my son and was asking for another overnight visit. I originally agreed until he gave me more information and then I said I have changed my mind.
Love your avatar!! The planet could practice that for a month and things would be a whole lot better. Love also how you're practicing recovery on you feet. Sounds very good. (((((hugs)))))
Well thank you for the compliment. I actually shocked myself. I felt like how I did prior to being diagnosed with PTSD or maybe I took back my power?
No matter thank you for listening, responding, supporting, and most of all helping me get back to that place. I am so grateful that I found this place and that all if you are here to share my journey.
Thank you Jerry. I loved it too that is why I had to share it.
Gotta love gas lighting .. GFU on redirecting your decisions .. the reality is I have the right to change my mind based upon new information. I got a taste of my PTSD recently and didn't like it at all. BLEAH .. I can totally tell the difference out of the two roles I am operating out of .. I don't like the fear I felt.
Hugs S :)
