haven't been on here...

I am not new to this site; I just haven't been on here for awhile. For those who don't know me, I have been coming to our local library to get on here for years. I am unable to even though I have a tablet been able to post. Long story: I can't seem to be comfortable on the chairs. I am on my knees right now. I am frustrated. But, we get free internet here at the library.

So, the latest is: I went to a conference last weekend! It was full friends, fun & fellowship! I am so excited & pumped up because of it. I had a great time sharing w/ my friend who is also on this site. I learned that I can talk to anyone & share my story. It brings to the fact that I am ready to tell my story in full at our District Speaker meeting next month. I will be the only speaker that nite & needless to say I am already nervous & excited! Talk about not living one day at at time! My sponsor didn't even know until I told her at the conference. I kept it to myself pretty much until she mentioned that I should tell my story. She seemed very excited about it because she hasn't heard my story chronologically yet. What a joy to be able to tell my story of recovery to those who are near & dear to me.

Kathleen

Kathleen! What happy news to read! I am glad you enjoyed the conference and your friends! I am also happy to read that you are going to agree to be a speaker and tell your story of recovery! We need those stories and I'm glad you are willing to share yours.

hi dear wondered where ya were.

ok I don't know what a tablet is. Can you get online with it? if you can there could possibly be someone around you who has wireless you can pick up with your tablet at home. I am thinking you must not have a car? If you do many places, laundromats, mcdonalds etc have it too where you can park and be online, reline in your seat bring a couple pillows.

I have to recline to sit. five min in my truck and it hurts my hips so bad. so here I sit on my recliner with my laptop in my lap. my computer guy puts  computers together for a great price.

anyway I am glad you went to a conference. Let us know how your speaking goes in the future!!!
