I'm becoming very fluent in speaking with the police .. on both sides of the coast and in the middle .. good grief.  I need a new profession.  Anyway, my mother gave me a huge scare.  I don't call her every day however I do talk to her at least a couple times a week just to let her know we are all ok and find out how she is doing.  So last night I had a moment driving between the store and home, no kids, no distractions (HA .. since when is driving a distraction right?) .. and son of a gun I get a message on her phone saying that her line is unavailable and how this line is not accepting phone calls.  I learned a few things last night .. first off I can't call the operator from a cell phone you have to do it from a landline.  I'm thinking .. ok .. God .. you are so not funny.   That moment of don't quit your day job kind of thing.  So as soon as I get home I'm on the line ON HOLD with the police .. my kids of course don't know what is going on and my son is working to earn a prepay cell phone.  Well, he's questioning me and my patience is a little short for good reason I'm nervous I'm going to get hung up on .. got a lovely woman who sounded as if she was from Ireland.  Anyway, explain the situation my mom recently had surgery and yes, I'm a terrible daughter I haven't talked to her for about 4 days (I'm spoiled as I know her friends check on her too), I can't reach her and I know she doesn't always have her cell phone on.  She's not a cell phone user unless she's traveling.  Well the gal asked me if I was sure that was her number .. I started laughing ... umm .. yES .. LOL .. the last 20 something years.  The operator was saying it was a "vacated number" that means there is no owner .. I told her that is not right.  She was good natured and said ok .. well we will send someone out .. I thanked her and told her prepare the officers for a cranky woman when they get there .. LOL.  I got the call that she was fine and she was not upset that I called the police .. I told her I was concerned and I hadn't talked to her recently and having her number down was just not ok .. LOL.  Anyway, she was going on about how the police came and then tells me, apparently I have attack hummingbirds because the policemen were being dive bombed by the birds .. LOL!  That I can picture because she has a hummingbird feeder right by the front window .. LOL.  Anyway, I was grateful that the officers had a lovely sense of humor and they were entertained by my mom.  I was also grateful she was fine because of course I'm planning what to do with the kids how I'm suppose to fly out there and so on.  I didn't even call my sponsor which is huge .. I did post later on a site I'm on just to get my anxiety out and FB later when I knew what exactly was going on.  I told my mom I didn't post to her friends because I didn't want to sound an alarm until I had more information. 

I did tell her she used up her calling the police on her don't make me do it again .. LOL.    Once a year that is it!  Anyway, I'm just glad it was all ok, .. she was funny and it turns out she was on me about calling her cell and says oh .. apparently I have messages from other people .. LOL .. I said yes, and this is exactly why I didn't call it! 

I'm becoming infamous though .. I'm taking my act on the road I haven't called every department in the US as of yet so I need to work on that as a goal .. good grief!
