Making Dinner and be Grateful

I'm in the kitchen making dinner and I'm washing my hands.  I just thought how grateful I am to have so much water, lights, heat and AC, a roof over my head and a job to go to.

I take so much for granted and for some reason all this came to me now how grateful I am to have such a good life.  I've always had it just for some reason it's hitting home today....????

Oh well have a great evening everyone.

(((( hugs ))))

When gratitude wells up unexpectedly, some call that a touch of grace for someone whose heart is open. I'm very happy that you experienced this and that you are sharing it, too!

Yes Cathy, when I climb in bed at night, and when I wake up the next morning I am grateful that there was no crimes happening in my neighborhood, no bombs, no gunfire, I have hot running water for my shower and breakfast food to cook, and a job to go to.....the list goes on and on why I am grateful. And through no effort of my own I have fresh vegis and fruit and I am thankful I am not living with alcohol in my face. ...og

Thank you this was exactly what was needed to help shift back into gratitude. We are all so blessed. Hugs Cathy.

I was thinking the same thing, just the fact that we are here at MIP, means we have a computer, or access to one. Electricity, a means of being able to work or to earn money to keep the  power on. Because of all those little things we have been blessed with, we have the opportunity to learn and share with people from all over the world, blows my mind. I am so grateful to be a part of this, and to have everyone be a part of my recovery journey, thanks.

Good post like you I now try and look at the positive things in life , as I told a friend a few days ago , I focus on doing all I can so that when I close my eyes at night I know that I have not said anything that would be hurtful to others.. hugs to you

Hugs Cathy,

I sure get what you are saying .. LOL .. I was so happy that whatever came through this weekend I still had power which for me translates to water and power .. after being without water that was unplanned and unappreciated .. LOL .. I am way ok it all missed us this time around.

It was so nice just to cook what we have and be happy there was food to fill our tummy's, a roof over our heads and so on .. I am grateful.

Hugs S :)

Oh to be reminded of not to take anything for granted.
I found at that everything is greatly appreciated.
Thinking of my blessings just helps me to remain positive.

Thanks for this moment you shared...
