both sides of the fence.

Hi all went to open Aa meeting tonight with my Sober ABf,

this meeting is open at the end of every month, I like this meeting because lots of al anon memebers attend and it is like we share OUR ESH from both sides of the fence.

they have an al anon share and then AA.  When it goes to the floor for sharing everyone states how benefical they find it hearing shares from the opposite side.  I believe that this types of meetings help us to fight this family disease. Coming together sharing all our experiences instead of it being THEM and US,

This is why I enjoy conventions also.

I am opening a new al anon meeting this Friday with some other al anon members and it is just upstairs from AA hope to build a bridge between fellowships helping to see over the fence .

hugs tracy xxxx

Hi Tracy, I have only been to 1 convention and I really enjoyed listening to the AA speakers and to witness the AA fellowship at work was great for me to see. I got a lot out of it. I hope your new meeting goes well, keep up the good work.x

I also like the open AA meetings. We have one on Saturday nights where I live. They bring in speakers and it is really interesting to hear their stories.
