Well, it won't fix everything however it's a good start thank you God! I have been out of work since November and it has been scary is putting it mildly. I was validated in ways I wasn't expecting. I knew that there were some things brewing at the temp job I had worked .. I received a call last month about the issues I had with the lady who I was working with .. I explained what I had gone through how awful it was and so on. My manager asked me why didn't I say something earlier .. I told her .. and then what? It's not like my life at that job would have been any easier .. I probably would have been let go sooner and .. can you imagine if I said something after being removed? I would have been the bitter employee .. yah .. I love that idea. LOL. NOT!
I had a good laugh because the office manager actually asked how I was able to work with this woman anyway .. I was the only one the temp agency sent who was able to work with her. I laughed and my manager really stuck up for me. She said well, she has a gift for difficult people ... LOL .. yes .. I do. Usually attracting them into my life .. LOL .. I normally don't know what to do with them after that .. LOL .. I DO know how to deal with them .. THANK YOU ALANON!!! I couldn't have said that 4 years ago. So that was in December. My manager asked me recently if the gal was still there and I said last I heard.
Today I got a text from the gal I used to work with and she said YOU better answer that phone if you can work .. they want you back .. L is gone! OMGOSH .. I had been shoveling snow about 10 ft long area of it and it was thick from the blowing .. I will have to post pictures .. it probably would have taken the average person who was acclimated to winters 2 hours to get done .. it took twice that my daughter and I were out there with shovels and I learned some tricks as we went .. we didn't have snow boots and no real work gloves and so on. I had to laugh .. it was a sight and we lost no fingers or toes .. that is a good thing.
At least I have a job for at least a month and I love the lady I get to work with!!
God is so good!! Hugs S :)

I LOVE throwing snow, its great exercise and can be really fun, especially when the dog gets in the act and tries to catch the snow that I'm throwing. I had a temp job that was supposed to last 6 weeks, was there for months, they laid off everyone in that dept who wasn't an officer except me! then I had to cover for four missing persons, truth be told dead weight, and eventually given the choice of part time or full because they knew what they were getting with me! I really liked temp work because it allowed me to test out a place of employment, give me time to assess if I really wanted to work there without being trapped in someplace unpleasant to work. And, it allowed me to be the best me without worry I was being tested since I already had a job with the temp agency.

Congrats! It sounds like you're building a strong record of detachment and acceptance. I haven't done so well with difficult people. Its very, very hard. I guess my thoughts about people show all over me. I wish sometimes I could get a video of my interactions with others, particularly the difficult ones, so I could see what I say and do. But I think my MO of trying to turning myself into a pretzel as a people-pleaser would still kick in. I wish I could overcome it completely but I think for me my age, limitations and circumstances tell me I need to accept and let go. I try little by little each day and most days I get there. So happy for you. Vindication, Yay woo hoo!
