Good Morning Gaby

Thank you so much for checking in. I have been thinking about you and your son. I'm sorry to hear your son is facing jail time but it may be a answer to your prayers. Sometimes things have to worst before they get better.

I'm also so so happy your going to meetings and taking care of you and your needs a little.

My son is doing so much better but I will continue to let go and let God take care of him.....and take care of me.

(((( hugs ))))

Hi Gaby, glad to have an update about you and your son. I have thought of you both often over the last couple of weeks. Great that he is 15 days sober! Hopefully you are feeling stronger too.

I tried to keep my son from having a criminal record, but of course had no control over the things he was doing. He has escaped jail time so far, but will be going back to court tomorrow and could very well get as much as 45 days in jail. To his credit, he is going on his own to face the music, whatever it maybe. He is scared, but I am staying out of it.
His HP will see where he needs to be. Same for your son.

(((hugs)))

Thank you all.. I have gotten introduced to crossroads (which is with people that have been in my sons shoes) and also celebrating recovery.. I attend AA to know what this disease is and ala non.. My son has known that jail was coming he chosed to not do his community service and said jail is the route he needs to go. He is looking at 50 days. He got in touch with his uncle about 2 1/2 weeks ago and his uncle said I'll take you in for a while but you must do something with your life. He is there for now until he goes to jail. Then from there he hopes to find a sober living house about 45 minutes from where I live. He knows the town I live will not help him and if he goes and surrounds himself with a different group of people may help him. I have to allow himself to make his own choices. His disease drained me in a way I thought I would never allow it but I did. So I have to do all I can to get me back and stronger to be where I need to be. I can only continue to pray and work on me.. Thank you all..

((((Gaby))))...Keep the focus on your own healing and allow your son the "dignity" of the consequences of his own choices.  He's done 15 days one at a time.  (((hugs))) smile

Your tone has changed. I can read it in your post. You are doing good Gaby and I'm so happy your are turning it around. Focusing on you more and more each day. You will find each and every day how much better your going to get. Your going to have your ups and downs but if you keep to the programs peace will come no matter what your son does.

Love him, pray for him but let him go and let God take care of him. He can do anything if that's what he wants. Let him have that choice.

It works, if you work it and your worth it...

I too have been attending the open AA meetings. At first I did not like going but have been finding the meetings helpful. Good luck to you and your son. Keep coming to this site, read and go to meetings.
