Update; new chapter is one week away

Hi Everyone:

I have been here benefiting from all of your generous shares, and enjoying the fellowship of this family for over a year now. I have not been posting much, responding some, but I wanted to share a bit tonight.   My life started to change from the first moment I came to this site, found the online meetings, went to face to face meetings, got a sponsor, starteed working the steps and a program.  I'm humbly here with you and want to thank all of you for continuing to share, it's so very helpful.

I am now 7 days away from the finalization of my divorce.  This has been one heck of a year, and I relied very very heavily on these rooms and all of your E/S/H during this roller coaster of a time! I can't describe very eloquently what it's like to be ending a 22 yr marriage to my college sweetheart, but I do know that I had to make a change in order to live a healthy life and this is where my journey brought me.  Ironically, after a marriage that suffered terribly at the hands of this cunning baffling disease, my AH is making his most serious effort at sobriety (that I have ever been witness to).  THere have been some moments when I have been really angry about that, about the timing of it, but mostly I know that his recovery should he continue to seek it, is his, and mine is mine.

There is no way for me to come close to describing how much I've learned from all of you, and benefited and been comforted by your E/S/H.  I know this program saved my life, and it started with the day I found my way to this site.

I am inspired by the strength and hope I read about everyday, and am asking my MIP family to keep me in prayers as I get through the next step of this journey.

thank you all  :)

Mary

Mary you have come a long way in your recovery, have worked hard!

I hope the A in your life finds his path to a strong program. Seems like when we get to a point of being serious about ending it, they decide to get busy on their recovery. sadly it does not always come out as the  A wishes.

will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, after awhile you will look back and see all the things the disease blinded you about. I hope you have strong support out there.

We are here for you, vent and update will you!? love, debilyn
