If you're trying to get any of us Midwesterners and east coasters to take pity on you wrapped pathetically in that afghan in ARIZONA!!, it's not happening.

N: I'm sorry, but I can't muster up any empathy for you in your climate either. Temps here have risen to -1. They're going back down as I type this. We'll probably be back to about -12 (nowhere near as bad as Wisconsin or Minnesota), but still cold enough that I don't want to build snowmen in it. What am I saying? I won't build them in 30 degree weather either. That's right!!!!!!! I don't like being in the cold.
LOL to Paula's comment, too! Hey! We can send Cathy pictures of us walking in the heat of the summer in our bare feet on sand. No snakes will chase us! No scorpions will run over our feet. The sand won't be too hot for us to sift through our toes! And, we can also send pictures of us frolicking in a gentle rain. We can send some to Bonnie, too.

Ummm, Paula, we have BBQs in August while watching the hibiscus dance in the breeze, too! We just do it while we sit in the pool or with the misters going on the porch, LOL!file:///Users/momtogrif/Pictures/iPhoto%20Library.photolibrary/Previews/2013/12/25/20131225-100752/hsvQdsM1QXOPhhef5DdI8A/IMG_3451.jpg

My previous post shows my backyard, pool in foreground, and Zayne the zany dog on his putting green! Welcome to AZ, guys, I'd love to host you all for a BBQ. I don't have hibiscus but I do have lavender, rosemary, honeysuckle, and jasmine in the yard.
No, we're not, BF. That is the joy of recovery. Finding more to laugh about together than to cry about. Of course, Cathy started all of this. She is one funny, fun-lovin' gal. And then, Bonnie added her stuff - and off we go dancing in the fields of life and playing with each other! Isn't that just a beautiful thing?
Special note to Bonnie: I can't seem to open your file. Web says it wasn't found? And......so.......could you fly here and show me how to open your picture? Planes will only skid into the airport for a short time. If luck is with you, there will only be a short 6 hour delay on the tarmac while little trucks come to save you.

Cathy: There's that picture again! Just love the bubbling that starts up in me every time I see it. I feel mirth. I feel joy. I feel happy. Thanks for that delightful avatar on a still cold, cold day in winter.
Really? At the bottom of the post is the picture and underneath it, it says view image in small blue letters? Is everyone else having that issue? Just curious if I did the picture wrong. And, the link in the paragraph does not work, LOL, I figured that out first but forgot to remove it and then I attached the picture when I edited the post.
Oops! Didn't see the picture at the bottom of the post until you pointed it out. I was too busy waiting on hold for Customer Service to answer for GM Motor Club to send a tow service to pull my buried and packed in van from my drive. My car's in the garage and I can't drive it. Tires deflated to too low to drive. But! I'm really happy that your dog gets to play golf!
Well, I've been in the Carolinas in the summer. I'll be sure to send you some of our photos, too, John, this summer when the humidity is dripping off roofs, trees, and those huge cockroaches that can scare the be-jeebers out of us Northerners when they show up and we don't know what in the world they are. Picture this: Two full grown men and 1 full grown woman screaming together in a kitchen. One full grown woman rushing to the kitchen to rescue them from whatever in the world was happening! Arms wrapped around each other, I find them pointing to "that thing!" Then, four adults working as a team to clear the house of 1 bug that we had to be told later was a cockroach. We didn't know! We didn't know!
