If anyone ever tries to tell me that we can't have fun when we want to I'm gonna tell them to "keep coming back". The meeting topic was Attitude which I will always show up for and then it was over and the food came out and then the "secret" by number gift exhange/swap and we got knock down funny and happy. Geeeez we are not a glum lot (from another room) not even close!! (((((hugs)))))
Glad you had fun, Jerry. My home group is full of people who have and are still going through difficult and painful challenges - yet many of the group can find many reasons to celebrate and enjoy their lives. I appreciate the attitude of gratitude which shows up in your share.
the topic at our meeting last night was pleasure. It was great to hear the recovery stories of how people came in sad and in pain and how al anon has healed them.
Learning us all that life is worth living wheather the alcoholic is drinking or not.
I have so much fun stuff planned for over the holiday I can not wait.
Yay Tracy you go girl!! Learning that I could also choose to have fun and be serene inspite of my alcoholic/addicts choices was also a major recovery growth. So glad I wasn't dead yet so that I could learn to live instead...Merry Christmas to MIP and the solution carriers. (((((hugs)))))
