After my meltdown last weekend and telling my SO I'm DONE and I will be moving out, he freaked. He asked if we could at least try doing just one thing together on the weekend so we don't isolate each other. I agreed.
Today I got up and asked..OK....I am going out are you going. He said yes. We got ready and headed out to Walmart to pick up a few things. Then we went to lunch at Denny's. After that we went to the ecig store and he got a new ecig.
We went to the car stereo store so he can look at new units for his Jeep. Went to Fry's Electronics and I looked at a Windows tablet I'm thinking on getting. I guess for Christmas I will get him the Car radio and he will get me the new tablet.
We turned up the radio in the car and sang and I had to see how fast I could go in it so at 120 mph I decided that was fast enough.. I know crazy but I had to see.
All in all it was a good day for both of us. We enjoyed each others company for once and had smiles...no fighting at all.
Nice day and now we can kick back and relax this evening
Thank you HP for giving me the strength and courage to do for myself and enjoy doing it.
(((( hugs ))))

Nice, Cathy... At the moment I am asking myself- how come I am surrounded b people whose lives are starting to go well? I think it is the company I keep- it gives me hope...
So good to see you had fun today, Cathy! 120 mph???!!!!! Can cars still go that fast? When I was younger, I owned a 1967 silver Pontiac Firebird, blue leather interior, 4 on the floor, 350 engine complete with glasspacks(that was a surprise gift from my brother who also chose to switch out my tires with slicks while I was upstairs in my apartment) that I drove(raced) on the toll road from one state to another to see my bf at the time. What happens to that wild and crazy part of us? Oh, yeah! I know. We become parents. Glad you pressed the pedal to the metal - just to see how fast it could go. Once in awhile, we have to let the teen in us out to ride free if only for a bit! (((C))) What song were you singing?

Good for you Cathy!!! We used to have a 1975 silver firebird and also a Datsun 260Z....loved the speed!!!! You brought back a few memories there!!! Glad you had a a good day!
Funny, Cathy, but I had a good day with my AH today, too. He knows I still want to separate. He's been on his very best behavior and today was his birthday. I decided to be kind and make the best of the day, especially for our son. Weird, how life can take some funny turns and really throw us on a roller coaster if we let it. Hugs to you, so glad you had a good day.
I'm guessing you were going 120 on I-17 today? I knew someone flew by me earlier right around the Pinnacle Peak exit, I wonder if that was you, LOL???
I remember that song. Those were the days when real instruments were used to make music and no echo chambers were used to hide the fact the vocalist can't sing. I'm so glad you had such a good, good time of joining the past with the present with a friend!
And, Pinnacle Peak is just north of the 101, you know? LOL, I don't remember what kind of car it was. I tend to drive faster than most middle aged moms out here anyway, I was probably going 80-85!
