Follow up to my mums turning into the alcoholic in my life

I took the plunge and told my mum how I was feeling ( nervous on edge waiting for the criticism ... & after the usual initial response of well I just won't come and I'll keep my mouth shut like I normally do...) she told me the real reason. She feels it's all about me, I never contact her, do anything for her, ask how she is & I said I thought she was always too busy ... We had completely list our way and communication which we have now sorted , put a plan in place which changes things and already spent a lovely morning ... It was like getting my mum back - thank you thank you for being here - I nearly crashed the car the other evening going on a short journey & falling asleep at the wheel which has put me off travelling to my meeting for a bit so it's good to be able to share here thank you

What a gift to read this today, Minibee. So glad you and your Mom could sit down and talk things through, both admitting her part in the difficulties between you, putting a plan you mutually agreed to in place and acted on it to a happy outcome for both of you today.

Dear Minnibee

I amso very happy for you.  Pleae keep taking care of yourself.  Come to on line meetings here if you are nervous about driving but keep coming back

Talking things over and reasoning things out ,as you have done ,is a great tool  for connecting in a relationship.

Glad that you did so with Mom.
