Today I pray for the families who still have active addiction in their lives...Holidays are so hard. The littlest things trigger arguments, and in some cases violent words and violent actions. Though I am safe, I feel deeply connected to those people who aren't. Sending you all peace and grace.

There's a sort of melancholy sadness when I read this post - to be sitting in my peaceful life anticipating the halfway there cooked feast and stopping to consider those who are tiptoeing on eggshells waiting for the shoe to drop.
