Grateful

Hello all,

It has been awhile since I have posted.....today I post because I am grateful!!!!  I am grateful for the people I have met in these rooms....particularly a couple of amazing women who gave me such much needed reminders last night.  It was just what I needed and I thank you....MsP and Senora thanks for the up front and honesty.  So I got up this morning and I was grateful for being here just for today.  My son is on a journey to recovery...he is in a rehab..they were only going to give him 7 days...well as it turns out....he is getting the full treatment process..I am grateful for the woman who helped make this happen.  I must admit I am grateful that I have stopped and took time to remember my alanon teachings....I had got lost again in the world of addiction.  It is so easy to be sucked in by an addict/alcoholic they can make us forget about everything except for their addiction.  Today I know that if I don't take care of me I am no help to anyone!  I am grateful for my loving granddaughter who is such a joy in  my life.  Today in school they asked her who she is thankful for, she wrote my guggie in that space how amazing is that for a 5 year old?  I am grateful for my parents who are and have always been a huge support system in my life.  I love them unconditionally and they are quite simply amazing.  My brother, who helped me through my heart attack. he was there to hold my hand the whole way through and is still there.  My friends, whom I simply love.  My amazing daughter who has become a woman and is taking her own journey in this wonderful thing we call life.  So to wrap it up I would like to say there are times when we just simply take the smallest things for granted.  Well these small things may be our saving grace.  My higher power which I call God has given me many blessings and I hope and pray I never ever get to the point that I forget to remember that.  May you all have a wonderful thanksgiving as you give thanks for the smallest yet most important things in your very own lives.

With Hope,

Andrea

Andrea!: I'm so glad you made it through your heart attack and had so much loving support in your life. Thank you for the gratitude listings, too. So good to hear from you and so fun to see the picture of your granddaughter?, too? Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.
