You know a little about my lazy SO and me doing everything in regards to the home. Well one of the things I stopped doing about 4 months ago was cleaning the office. I don't use it much so I decided it was his mess and he can clean it..or not...he uses it all the time. Well this weekend I guess he hit HIS bottom...lol....he started carrying out piles of bags he had brought. He vacuumed, polished the furniture and cleaned all the computer equipment.
I had to tell him how nice it was looking. He smiled. I went out to the garage where he was taking all his junk and in the center was a pile two feet high of nothing but bags of different sizes, color and shapes. I had to say something.... I came in smiled and started talking about his spending again and how it's keeping us broke. He immediately said I was right and he just didn't realize how much he was really buying. He couldn't believe all the backpacks, bags, duffel bags..bags...bags and more bags. I had to laugh. He doesn't even know what he's going to do with them all. He promised to stop the spending so much. I also suggested if there are some he really doesn't want to donate them. He agreed.
So we will see if the bagaholic stops or he finds something new to buy.

maybe a garage sale is a good approach???? dunno what kind of "stuff" and "bags" he has bought, but maybe he can sell them????
I wonder if he sensed that u were getting to the end of your rope and he figured he better do something.....
Oh well, I am glad u had a nice surprise......a spendaholic doesn't change, though, not w/out a strong 12 steps program....they got 12 steps groups for everything now.....shopaholics or something like that......

I had to laugh. Maybe this isn't funny? But, a garage floor laden with multiple bags purchased for no purpose other than to put them on a garage floor made me laugh. Maybe Craig's list? Surely, there are people out there who want to start their own bag shop?
