Breakthrough with my recovery today.   My AH (who moved out a month ago) called yesterday to ask me where the truck registration tags were as his had expired in July.  I kindly reminded him that I had given him the tags and new registration back in August and I'm not sure where it is, but I will look around the house to see if it was there.  I'm the one that usually takes care of these tasks, but i always give him the tags to put on the vehicles he drives.  I told him if we couldn't find that tags that I could go to the county building today to get replacement tags.   Well after an unreturned phone call and a couple texts he did not respond to about the lost tags, I was not happy that he did not respond back to me when I was trying to help him out of a problem that he put himself in.   Today he finally responds to my text and asks what is happening with the replacement tags.   I respond back that HE can simply go down to the county office explain what happened give them an old registration and they will give HIM replacement tags for a small fee.   I'm proud of myself for the accomplishment of putting his problem back on him to take care of and me not taking responsibility for a problem that was not mine.  It feels good to know that although I made the phone calls to find out what he needed to do, that he will have to take the action to fix his problem.  One small step forward for me.
