It's gone past our house....

and moved on to others in the family.   My eldest son has relapsed...his church program stopped working and he has flushed his life down the toilet.  My daughter in law was visiting while I was a way from the house and my wife got the current story...you all know what insanity sounds like and looks like and feels like my story wouldn't make it look any more interesting however I knew he had relapsed...we all know when that has happened and then my wife relays additional info that my nephew has done the same...families destroyed for today.  God's got a full time job...don't want to mess with God's schedule...just staying in the wings if I'm needed other wise I've got a life of my own to keep straight.

Still praying...everyone's on the list.   ((((hugs)))) smile

No matter how long you work the program, you are always grateful for it, aren't you? Because if we didn't keep working the program, we wouldn't be prepared for when life smacks us and our loved ones around! So very sorry, Jerry. Sending prayers for your family!

Jerry: If you don't mind sharing, what might you be doing if you're called out of the wings into service? Might help us Moms and Dads know a description of help when our kids relapse and we feel like we're being called out of the wings into service for our kids. If I've asked too personal a question, please forgive my ignorance.

(((( Jerry ))))

I know the feelings inside. I know the hurt it can cause but I also know you will let go and let God take on the task. We are in this together and we will have the courage and strength to continue our lives and God sees fit.

I will light my candles tonight and a prayer said special for your son. He is in God's hands

I admire your perspective in all things Jerry, and this case is certainly no different...

Your words & strength remind me of the words of my wise old sponsor (many times), who used to love to tell me:

"it is neither good nor bad, it simply IS".

Take care, my friend

Tom

I'm so sorry to hear this.  I give thanks that the foundation of your family -- that's you -- has good strong recovery.  What a great example for the others when they want to know what it looks like to climb back to sanity.  Take good care of yourself.

If it wasn't for alcoholism... I wouldn't know you. I don't know how to hate it or love it successfully anymore so I will focus my feelings on you because you are so lovable and cared for. Sending love into the universe for you and yours. Xxxxx
