found a lump

I hope I am not being too descriptive in this post. I found a lump in my left breast yesterday--3 years ago yesterday I had breast surgery & I haven't gotten a mammogram since then. I know I am due anyway. So, I go on & wait until I can see my doctor. I am a bit nervous & there is pain there. It seems to be the size of a pea. It moves around when I touch it. OK that is enough about my current situation. I probably said too much.

I am  doing OK these days. I think my mom is getting out of the hospital soon after 2 mos. She seems to be doing better at least on the phone. I am looking forward to seeing her. I just hope she has recovered enough so she can come home.

If you pray, please pray for me.

Kathleen

It moving around is a good thing Kathleen. Cancerous lumps usually do not move and often are not even tender to the touch. My sister has breast cancer and we have learned a lot in the last few years.

the fact you said it has a "shape of a pea" is encouraging...pain could be a cyst or fibredoma, (can't spell)  but benign...........remember  OVER 80% of lumps prove to be benign............i had that and they just popped it out......back in the 70's i had this......

I am not much on prayer but am sending you good, healing energy ,

oh yea, my bio sister started w/cancer in her arm, then it went to breast...i learned  a lot too......AND cancerous lumps u can't find the "edges" to them...like there is no difinitive shape to a cancerous tumour....and remember what I said....over 80% of lumps are benign.........they DONT move around and they DONT give out much pain if any............

Prayers and hugs.

I get all kinds of lumps that also move around. My doctor, after some investigations announced with a laugh that I just have "lumpy boobs" lol. Not to minimise a scary situation of course but it isn't always something terrible.
I remember sitting in the hospital all day with my ex's mum; she had breast cancer years ago and there was a new lump; she was terrified. It turned out to be nothing serious.

Wow, aren't we a board of doctors? lol.
More prayers and hugs
