The cruise went well. It rained but didn't really affect the outcome. I am just grateful that about 100 recovering people were there anyway. I was informed that I couldn't even mention anything about it on any form of public media. I thought I could casually mention it but I can't even post a picture that refers to the cruise since it was an Al anon sponsored cruise. I am glad they told me. Usually I don't post anything about the program. I guess it is really against the traditions which I understand. I am just glad we can assemble together at all. I heard that some countries have meetings but it seems that there are restrictions. I guess some countries haven't come as far as we have in the U.S. I am glad I can be a member of a program that lets me be me. I know that I have said & done some things that weren't right but then I am not perfect. I am a work in progress. I am always learning & growing. Thanks for a place to say what I feel necessary for my own recovery.
Hi, Kathleen. It must have been a welcome experience for you to be with about 100 people in recovery on a cruise? Happy to know that you feel accepted for yourself in Al-Anon and on MIP, too.
My family and I went for the first time. We had A very good time, we'll be doing it again. I was a bit nervous but felt the love once things started.
:)
