Just recently got home from introducing the program to the families of clients of a local rehab and of course to the counseling staff.  My partner in it is a member who has recent time and the willingness to grow and experience as a teacher.  If you have never ever intoduced the program to a whole buncha people affected by the disease of addiction to alcohol and other drugs I encourage you to get your feet wet.  Sharing experience strengths and hope and how the program works is awesome as when you look at them you see where you came from and when they look at you they show where you come from.   LOL...we actually took the meeting and offered them the opportunity to take part...readings and discussions and while none of them ventured into the discussion out of newness and such the one that did is a sister of mine in the other program who has been supported by Al-Anon and knows how it works and the miracles that can happen.  She also has a family member in the rehab who is doing ver well.  We  closed the meeting in the usual way and left and out in the parking lot my partner in service mentioned that she was unsure and such and such because this was the first time she had done it.  I told her this is where you realize that you know and know that you know about the disease and what works for those affected.  You can hear your own voice share what is true and you believe your own voice.  Crazy and magical.  Thank you God...had a superior time.  We'll see what comes about which we are now powerless over.   Keep on keeping on.   (((((hugs)))))
