An Anniversary

Tonight one of my alanon groups is celebrating its anniversary. I've never been to an anniversary meeting before, but am really looking forward to it. The timing is perfect too, because it is almost exactly one year since I walked through the doors to my first meeting. My attitude and ways of dealing with life have changed so much in this past year. I am looking forward to the ever-improving me in the coming year too! My husband is also doing better, but that is his business, not mine. I can't believe I can even type that. The whole concept of letting him be responsible for himself and me being responsible for ME was foreign to me before. Thank you all for listening and sharing with me on this journey. I am blessed to have found this group and all my alanon friends.

I hope you have a great time!  I've never thought about a group anniversary. I'll have to ask my homegroup when they formed the group and suggest celebrating. Thank you! What nice news that you're seeing recovery in yourself and your husband.  Keep coming back and sharing.  It's an inspiration to hear about positive outcomes from working the program.  Hugs!  TT

Paris...remember your entry date...it will be awesome remembering what it was like where you first reached the doors of Al-Anon.   Thanks for the post.  You have grown sooo much and given  much of it back and that is how our program and family work.   Mahalo ((((hugs)))) smile
