My son and my spouse have not spoken for 6 months. They are both addicts. Son is dry (pot) and spouse started recovery. Today they met with an alcohol counselor and are willing to make a fresh start. Our family's holidays had been all fouled up. The pain from this situation brought me to become serious with alanon. It's a blessing all the way around, Lyne
These blessings are possible only in recovery and only when we have truly turned our loved ones over to the care of their higher powers. Gods will might not always be the outcome i would want if i were in charge but thank goodness i am not because god is so much better at it.
All the support I receive from this board has helped me weather this storm. Today I might even feel happy which is an odd feeling for me. I am used to feeling depressed and miserable. Not today. And who knows about tomorrow? Not me, but I'll wait and see. Thank you all, Love, Lyne
