I really had to get to a meeting last night. Emotional day- son turned 40 and he's in the throes of a separation- happy birthday to him, eh? Anyway, I needed to be with other Alanon folk and I have the luxury of having 2 meetings from which to choose. One is far closer to me than the one I usually go to which is out of town. So, I ask myself....nope, make that...I asked my HP which meeting would it be?
Was I choosing the one meeting only because it was closer? This nearby meeting is not one where I have found...for me...sufficient ESH. So, I listened to my HP and took the drive out to my usual, farther meeting and boy, did I get a lot of ESH from my fellow Alanoners.
LOVE it when someone listens to that inner voice inside (HP) and follows suit......every time I don't listen to that "best within me" , I am sorry...........GOOD JOB :)
