I have read this before I think on this board and I do believe it gets down to the some real roots of life, I don't take credit for it, but I do think it is worth repeating and thinking about, especially when anyone is going through the pain of the disease, feel the pain and then get out of Gods way.

It was out of this truth that I decided I was no longer going to live with my husbands addictions and told him to move out. And it was from this truth, when he realized he wanted a different life with himself, he went into treatment. Many years ago, when I worked at a mental health facility, I watched a movie at one of our inservices that had a message I never forgot. The jist of it was, until a person has a "significant emotional event", they will not change. I never forgot those three letters...I called them SEE (interesting, I just SAW the acronym). teehee
I believe there is a significant reason that the first words I read this morning were the quote you posted. Now 2 1/2 mos into a separation with divorce papers filed, I wake up some days with the awful nautious fearful feelings nagging at me and that quote today helped me remember that I got sick and tired of being sick and tired, there's sucj strength in that.
