The epitome of denial brings laughter

I know I'm chatty lately.  I also know this really isn't alcoholism related, but it is related to denial that we talk so much about.  I just watched a  TV clip on a bank robbery.  The bank is full of customers.  A man approaches a teller with tree branches duct-taped to his head.  Demands money.  No customer reacts.  They just go about their business as if nobody is robbing the bank dressed like a tree.  That's the epitome of denial to me.  And really - its more than funny!!!biggrinbiggrinbiggrin  The tree was apprehended outside the bank when one teller paid attention to the fact the tree was robbing the bank and put the ink pac in the bag with the money.  Oh, my gosh.  What a scream!

And he used duct-tape - one of man's favorite tools.  My husband and a former assistant to me would have duct-taped engines together if given half the chance.  I gave my program assistant a roll of duct-tape for his going away present since he loved it so much.  Now it comes in colors and designs!  Wow!

 OMG...yea, we have a lot in common.......I go shopping w/my post it notes shopping list....a big day????  maybe 5 postits stuck together....oh yea, I look real organized.....U can stick em anywhere...mirror, refridges....I get my yearly mammo becuz good ole  postit reminds me being stuck on my refridge....since I became a fan of 3M post its??? havn't forgotten 1 mammo......oh yea,  I use em so much if I were to get Alzheimers I could hide it for years

Oh yea, I can sooo relate......LOVE it......a guy looking like a TREE,  LOL.....and noone notices anything wrong.......

They say denial kicks in to protect b/c the mind can't process the "info" being fed into it.....me??? on this????  get out the pruning shears and give it a go biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

 Oh take away my duct tape and I am POWERLESS .....I have it in ALL drawers (utility ones) and I have it in my tool box.........oh man....how did people LIVE w/out duct tape, biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Oh, my gosh! This is so funny!!!! Especially - "I use 'em so much if I were to get Alzheimers I could hide it for years!!!!! As a bookkeeper, do you use those fun little sticky pointers that come in colors? Our accountant introduced me to those. I was in heaven!

 I would use em for toilet paper if they didnt' stick....I got sticky notes in the checkbook reminding boss to get new checks...I got em stuck on the dad boss's computer to get his expenses reimbursement papers for me to cut him a check....I got stickys on my boss's calandar  b/c  son boss doesn't like me marking up his calandar with pen in his office, which we share, so I use my sticky notes.....

I leave notes via sticky notes.....my messages are color coded......red means  "get your ass going NOW..Dont make me wait"  ......yellow is "ok, important, but not your life".........I run out of yellow a lot  becuz since coming back to program, I am more mellow.....

I order the damn things by weight so I can save money.......OH and I love all sizes......not so much the teeny ones b/c I write big,  but the 3x3 (guessing on dimensions)  and the kinda big ones????  Yea, I use em a lot.... as to the arrows....I believe in one type has many uses........so I use a 3x3 and DRAW the arrow where they sign......bigger ones, I like to use for a  "things to do" list....oh yea,   BIG fan of sticky notes....

Oh, Cripe!!!!!!!! Tiredtonight. I just got all settled down inside from last night's roaring and here you are getting me all riled up again. Abdomen compressing and decompressing.
