Good Job  I am glad you decided to take the risk and go .  Practice in using your tools was a bonus.  Detachment is certainly a powerful tool that helps me to grow and change as well.

Glad you are back and deciding on your next steps in recovery.

Keep on sharing the journey.

I went with a guy I have been dating on and off for the last year his teenagers and mine and I decided to just go and enjoy the music festival and flow with it. I was wanting to go for the last year and we had gone back and forth about whether we were going together or not. It was easier for me to go with him since he is very outdoorsy and camping is all new to me. I went to some things by myself which did not bother me , but did bother him and some shows with him. I learned he is truly codependent and instead of fight with him I just detached when I needed to and made the best of this trip. I enjoyed my daughter when she was actually spent time with me, but there was a lot to do for her age and different shoes she wanted to see with her friends and I let her go do whatever she wanted within my boundaries. I learned some things about myself and my relationship choices. Time for me to work my steps on myself after this trip. I know some great growth is coming and I look forward to it. Thanks for the support my MIP family!

Hi!  Good to see your face this morning while I take a break from the flurry of activity around here.  I am happy to hear your about your 4 day camping experience and the things you learned and practiced!

Hope you aren't totally wiped after camping?  I always was - especially when almost every camping trip I went on ended up with torrential rains, lots of mud and soaking wet bedding and clothing to drag to the laundromat with kids who were not happy campers - especially with the laundromat part.  My daughter is carrying on the tradition and her experience is never different than it was when she was a kid.  My idea of camping now is a motel close to a park or beach.  I admit it.  I'm too lazy to do it anymore.

I admire your willingness to do it!!!!  Did you see anything in nature while there that you'd never seen before that you might want to share with us?
