Met my granddaughter, Janet and she is a beauty...Her mom was happy to see me and its so funny
I am gushing over the grand baby and "C" got a teeny bit , like "I want your attention and hugs, too, Mom" So I made amends to her and agreed that she needed love and attention to and I praised her and told her she did a good job and made a very beautiful baby
I had to laugh, I asked her "ohhh did you get a bit jealous when I was paying more attention to Janet??" and she kinda put her head down and said, yea, Mom just a littel"
I told her that that was natural and that I loved both of them...
I was feeling "C's" hair and noticed big time split ends, so Wednesday I will go over and give her a nice trim...
IF there is any hope, I gotta, yes, keep a safe distance, BUT balance it w/love and affection, just DONT set me up for let downs, like if she wants to make plans, I need a back up plan...don't count on it till I see it
just be careful, no expectations, kinda deep this a bit of a distance, but not soo bad that it creates worse conditions....She was all lovey dovey w/me today, so enjoy it while its there, LOL

It worked.......my two munchkins....Today she was real real sweet...I will relish and enjoy TODAY.....

Serene and sober family inter-reactions...would you ever believe it possible? Not completely there yet and it's better than it use to be. Some of the Grand-children have left the next and taken the Great-grands with them. What's up with that!! Aren't I suppose to call the shots??!! Who's this God person I'm supposed to turn it all over to? (((((N))))) cuse the rant...have good time with the angels.
(((N))) If you were here, I'd give you a really, really super big hug! Your entire post was so uplifting for me. I can smell the scent of new baby, too, in my imagination and memory where scores of newborns - fresh from the hands of God - came into my life. Don't you just love them? Nice to see a picture of your daughter, too. Just love the beauty of both of their faces.
Thanks so much for the well wishes, yes, today was a good day, even the truck horn worked and the guy at auto zone told me that it sounded fine to him and no worries on inspection
I told daughter that I had this "great group and a great bunch of alanoners I share with and was gonna share our pics with my friends"
She thought that was cool....I didn't say anymore than that....
We just enjoyed our day......I really appreciated the encouragement and well wishes from you all...I have felt so "at home" coming back to roost here..
I was wrong to thlnk I could take that much time off w/out it affecting me...So lesson learned...

Hey sister woman (((G))) thank you...One thing I learned in recovery....we have UPS and we have DOWNS.....just gotta roll with it, enjoy the good and savor it, chew slowly b/c when the not so good happens, we gotta ride it out.....This too shall pass applies to both.. ........yea, the guy said "no worries" on the horn, it may be going out, but it aint gonna be tomorrow, LOL.......
