and I'm grateful to HP for it. Aloha Ohana...hope you're all doing good and are not too hot. I'm sitting next to an open windown enjoying the breeze blowing off of the Pacific Ocean which is soooo nice. I ain't taunting...seriously...just enjoying a freebee from HP.
Got up early this morning and made the decision to walk the pups down by the ocean rather than just around the property up hill. Everytime I get the car keys and their leashes they know they're going bye bye and get hyper until we get away from the house.
They love the beach walk especially when they have the area almost all to themselves and their Pop and can just run all over the place. Mom's in the mainland so we're cool.
For me I just let it happen and wanted to build on waking up without anxiety or stress or worry and so I practiced centering and balance and just was "a part of". As I got to the end of the section we were walking thru I looked out off shore and the sun rise was powerful and inviting me to become a part of and so I left the pavement and walked across the lawn and on to the sand and beach. I tied my girls to a post and went near the water and let myself become a part of what was happening around me. I was spiritually moved into a cultural chant which speaks to the metaphor of "awakening/Sunrise" which is named E Ala E and which is started first facing East as the sun comes up and then North and continuing until it rest at South. When the sun breaks the horizon it sheds its powerful light into the heavens and the darkness there recedes and then to the mountains where the darkness and shadows drop down into the land and disappear and everything is enveloped in light and we can see clearly what is above and all around and below us. We cannot stumble and loose our way.
I felt compelled to do the chant regardless of who might be in ear range. I felt compelled to do it just between Akua/God/my HP and I in gratitude for the gift of sunrise. I felt compelled to chant it within a feeling of honor and respect for all I have and all I have been given...including Al-Anon...AA...MIP. I felt blessed and infact was told I was because as I finished and was leaving to get the pups I noticed an Ahu...a stone altar of sorts which indicates the ground in that area is blessed or sacred. I didn't notice it when I entered the area. I was further told that the urge to do this chant was appropriate because as I was leaving I noticed that the area was also a loi (lo ee) or garden area and that kalo was maturing there. Kalo for us is the metaphor of life and represents the creation and continued life journey. I missed it all going in and not after the chant and leaving. My life/relationship with my HP started here albiet on another island and it continues here as it is supposed to so that I will keep giving back to it and helping it grow like what has happened to me. E Ala E...awaken.
Thanks for letting me share from within this spirit. Mahalo (((((hugs)))))
Your share was go beautiful and as I read it I was also looking at the flower and envisioning what was like there. I hope someday I will get back to the islands and enjoy the beauty HP has created.
I'm looking out my window and see in the distance a storm brewing. With as hot as it is here today (115) it would be nice if HP would bring that storm south my way and give up a little cooling rain.
Also I'm happy your wife finally got off to the mainland to visit family.....my God be with her in her travels.
Thank you my friend.....
