Tomorrow night I am going to my first F2F meeting. I am as excited as if I was going to my favorite music or play or anything magical and wonderful. I've been coming on and off to this board for many months, but now I am more serious. Help from one of you folks made me realize I need the live, human being help, as well as from you guys. I will surely let you know how it goes. I chose this particular meeting because I heard about it 10-15 yrs ago, so it is long-time running and has a history. I think it will be a good match for me. I've had to wait 6-8 wks for my own schedule to change and I am giving up income to attend. I feel I am worth it! Lyne
YAY Lyne!! Happy to hear it because of what I know the meeting rooms have done for my life. Hopefully at the end of the meeting you will hear the very first promise that was made to me from Al-Anon that came true for me. It starts off...."If you keep an open mind........" Listen for it. Hi, Lyne. I could be wrong, but I sense you are looking to make friends at face to face meetings while you work the program. If so, my prayers for you include friendship becoming a very positive byproduct of your attending meetings. If not, my prayers will be the same. Smile. My best to you! Keep us posted, friend. As long as you've waited to go to these meetings, I think you'll be very happy to get there.
