What a delightfully delicious time for you! Getting your eyesight restored! What a blessing. I'm very, very happy for you.

I am going to take a go on this but it might not be easy. One eye is out of the way making room for the other. I am using reading glasses for the first time on this computer. I can barely see on my tablet so I am going to keep trying to give it a go on here. I miss all of you as I have been recovering from my surgery for 6 days. I got it on Tues the 4th. The left eye is scheduled for the 17th--in the meantime I am wearing reading glasses & one contact lens. It isn't easy but I am managing well. I wish I could get on here more often to give you all my updates but I can't because of lack of availability. I am just grateful that the library is open most days when I am not going to followup appts.or the like. It will basically be over for now after the 24th. I know I will have checkups & eye exams until who knows when.

I have the ability to see the world in a whole new way. I have been given my sight back--a true miracle. I just need to go out there & explore the world as I see it today. I have needed glasses since I was about 10 but didn't wear them until I was 15; now I am 46. It is such a blessing that I don't know how to put it in words. I am so grateful for modern science. They took out my lens in about less than 5 mins. & put the new one in. It was amazing! I had RLE. Just like cataract surgery w/o the cataracts.

LOVE all around! Love you all! Thanks for the support & prayers. I made it through my breast surgery & now I am going to be OK! That was in 2010!

In recovery, Kathleen

Hello grateful2b. I dont know what RLE stands for, I really cant translate acronyms. I had the cataract surgery too but I think I'm losing sight again. I've heard that happens that the artificial lenses can sometimes cloud up too. I wasnt able to go to my meeting today for health reasons but there is something I really need to talk about since you mentioned having breast surgery. I have been trying for years to find out what these growths are I'm having. It is very discouraging that doctors dont seem to listen to me when I try to tell them what's wrong. I found a new lump yesterday that is very different from the cysts I have everywhere. But i cancelled my appt to have it looked at because of past experiences. I just needed to tell someone. I'll wait and see if it gets bigger before I waste my money again. I realize this may not be an appropriate share. I just dont have anyone to talk to.
