CrazyTrain is in the station

The train is in the station, but I am doing my best not to get on board. AH woke up in a weird mood and it has continued all day. Strange texts, requests for money, erratic behavior, you all know what those days are like. I dont think he was drinking today, but I know he is still smoking pot. Anyway, I called my sponsor on my way home from work, hoping to get some encouragement before I walked into a night of chaos. Thank God for this program. My wonderful sponsor shared some ESH, encouraged me to be courteous, keep busy, and basically treat him as I would a guest. It worked! He was itching for a fight as I walked through the door, even saying why are you so mad...I was like huh? I'm not mad, I havent even said a word. I made a nice healthy dinner, that I enjoyed. I suggested we watch a movie I knew we both wanted to see, it was a quiet peaceful night, for the most part. Tomorrow is another day, hoping I can continue my good behavior, regardless of what craziness he chooses to embrace. I am not getting on that ride.

Not only did you see it coming and cross the street, you actually found a way to help sanity take its place!  Wow!

Nice work. I have to use these tactics a lot in my daily life with AH, especially since he works from home and I don't get much of a break from him. Keep doing the next right thing and work that program!

Way to work your program! Loved how you dodged the bait and managed to have a nice evening. :)

What an awesome post, and another shining example that we really don't need to attend every fight we are invited to....

I'm glad you didn't buy a ticket for the CrazyTrain - there are far better ways for us to spend our money!

Take care

Tom

ParisMemories what a funny and lovey share. I am going to remember your tactic and use it next time the crazy train is in our station. which can be frequent as we're on crazy junction! lol.
