couple little things....

When my son took me to the jail to fill out papers.... processed, I went to the restroom, he was waiting in the lobby. I came back and he said,"DARN!"  "I was hoping you would be gone when they came back so I could tell them you took off!" I slugged him.

(here is this big handsome guy holding my tiny Pomeranian service dog)

Then he reminds me,"Mom remember how you always said if I went to jail you would not visit me?"  lol oh I tell ya, I am in the bottom of hell and he is still a smart ass.

I mean this family my WHOLE family, I am NOT kidding since well grama and grampas parents and who knows back beyond that, NO ONE gets or got into trouble. NO one cusses or smokes or drinks etc. so this is all so foreign and scary for me. I am claustrophobic, thus always outside or windows always open.

the thought of a concrete box, I would bring a kill me now pill of ricin ready to swallow. and he jokes.....I raised a real winner.....gads.

I love that your son saw it wasn't the end of the world just yet! I too am a wise acre to the core and would have been the same way. Sometimes I crack jokes at seemingly inopportune moments to take the edge off and people don't always appreciate it until later when they say I can't believe you said or did that just then as they laugh remembering. I am glad he can bring you joy in the midst of your sorrow! I am sending you much love and support through this season!
