to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
This one at a different location but quite a few of the same people. My wife asked if there was an AA meeting at the same time and there was and she went to it. Good but not trying to think about that one way or the other. Still nervous to be there honestly . They talked about "take what you want and leave the rest" and one lady said that she tried to store the rest instead of leave it and I shared my experience here online where I literally did store the rest for later when I was ready to hear it. I t was a good meeting. Better than the first. Was glad to see some familiar faces. Love and prayers out to everyone here. Thank you all for being so patient and kind to me. I feel like I have hope now...mbut not that she will stop drinking but that I can truly be Ok regardless, one day at a time.
Reading your post gives me the feeling that you are on to something. So much less anger and not talking about your AW. When you truly let go and put the focus on you then things will start to happen. Granted it might not change your wife but your peace is what's important here. No words will ever change her but your actions might.
As they say practice, practice practice...one day at a time.
