I see the light at the end of the tunnel, it may be far far away but i see it! After about 2 months of a lot of meetings and throwing myself in to the literature i was ready and comfortable enough to ask for more help. I have found a wonderful sponsor from my home meeting, I am overjoyed. I cried when she agreed, tears of happiness. I believe in my recovery with     Al Anon 100%, I want serenity!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

It is great that you were aware when you were ready.  I remember when I got to the point of the pre-asking and how hard my heart was beating...I was so nervous.  I also appreciated that she asked for a few days to consider my request...she was a good role model of a co-dependent checking in with herself to make sure she was making a choice that was best for her.  I am happy for you and your sponsor!  hugs
