A written copy of The 12 steps?

Is there a book (perhaps the AA Big Book or an Al-Anon book) that walks you through the steps one by one? Thank you.

Hi Phoenix! The AA Big Book will walk you through it, and I do read that for additional information. But I've found that the "How Al-Anon Works" book (I guess you could say it's the BB of Al-Anon) really helped me understand what was happening and how I could grow into a better person. Not available as an e-book, but I got mine at our local AA club, along with lots of other great books. I've also found anything from Melody Beattie is great (she is not Al-Anon approved conference literature, however) Good reading!

There is still no replacement for AA's Big Book nor will there ever be. That is where the 12 steps were written. They have been sort of copied and changed many times over by many fellowships but the power is taken out big time.
Today more and more people from all fellowships are doing Big Book Studies to have the spiritual experience and learn how to live a completely different way of life. If you want a way out then you're ready.
It is not for the faint of heart. It's very powerful.

Good for you for wanting to know where the program of recovery is.
Folks from other fellowships replace the word alcohol with whatever their addiction is (food, drugs, other people etc). Since we're all human it works for everyone. The bottom line is finding an answer to all our problems.
Put on your seatbelt, it's a lot of work and it works.
Willingness will be key.

There is a book titled Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions that you might find helpful
