to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
I came across this board yesterday and have been reading posts and want to share my story. I have been married to my husband for 11 yrs, has always drank, I've known he has had a problem with it for many yrs now and its gotten worse. the last 8 months have been pure hell, a constant roller coaster ride. I have never been so mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted as I have been past few months. I'm so ready for that to change. and by reading all your posts, I think I have found the right place.
Hopeful is a good nick for this site...hopeful also you finish your bio so that we can get to know you also. You've been living in the "progression" of the disease of alcoholism...It always gets worse never better and if he doesn't arrest the progression he will cross the line of insanity and reach the door of death. Alcoholism is a fatal disease and it is his responsibility to find and use the tools of recovery if he is done with it. If he is not done with it...he progresses. You don't have to continue down the path of insanity with him. There is help for you in the white pages of your local telephone book. Look for the hotline number for Al-Anon and call it so that yo can find where and when we meet in your area. There is no need to wait...no reason to. Come find the people, literature and discussions which will help you tons along with MIP and this fellowship. Glad you are here...Keep coming back and look into our 2x daily meetings in the Chat Room....((((hugs))))
